He was taken in by the police during the incident but was later released on bail. Now, Allu is speaking out, claiming that the accusations against him are just attempts to tarnish his reputation and bring him down.

Allu Arjun Speaks Out on Stampede Controversy

A 35-year-old woman named Revathi tragically lost her life in a stampede that broke out when Allu Arjun made an appearance at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the screening of his movie Pushpa 2: The Rule. Her 8-year-old son, Sri Teja, who was also there, suffered from asphyxiation and has been in critical condition since the incident. In response, Allu announced he would provide financial support of Rs 25 lakh to Revathi's family and promised to meet them personally, as well as cover Sri's medical bills.

During a press conference on December 21, Allu Arjun spoke out against the accusations directed at him, calling them humiliating and an attempt to tarnish his reputation. He expressed, "There’s a lot of misinformation suggesting I acted in a certain way. These claims are completely false. It’s humiliating and an attack on my character. There’s a lot of false information circulating, especially regarding my character."

It's a tough situation, and honestly, I don't think anyone is to blame here. I really believe that no one should be held responsible, and I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, whether it's individuals, departments, or the government. In fact, I'm grateful to the government for their support of the film industry. I just want to clarify that there's been a lot of misinformation and false claims going around, and I haven't said anything like that. So please, don't judge me. This film has been a huge part of my life for the past three years, and it means the world to me. I recently went to see it in the theater, a place I've visited 20-30 times. There have been rumors about me being careless while going to the theater, but that's simply not true.

Allu Arjun has stepped up to cover all of Sri Teja's medical costs. The latest news is that the boy is dealing with asphyxiation and is currently in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on life support. During the press conference, Allu shared that he’s been getting updates on the child's condition every hour. "I’m receiving hourly updates on how the kid is doing. He’s making progress. The good news is that he’s getting better. My main goal is to provide great entertainment and leave people smiling," he said.
