In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Abhishek Banerjee expressed his desire to contribute to a new phase in Rajkummar Rao's career. Discussing their strengthened relationship, Banerjee remarked, "Our relationship has progressed from being mere colleagues to becoming close friends. I felt it was essential for me to be involved in this project in any way I could, especially as Patralekhaa and Rajkummar embark on their journey as producers."

Abhishek elaborated, stating that the focus now lies in supporting one another and being present for each other's aspirations. He noted their previous collaborations, which assured him that the experience would be enjoyable once more. He also expressed admiration for his friend Rajkummar, who has taken on the role of producer and is actively involved in shaping the film.

For those unfamiliar, Abhishek will appear alongside Rajkummar in the film Toaster, which also features Sanya Malhotra in a significant role. The official teaser for Toaster was revealed at the Next on Netflix event.
