In a recent interview, he elaborated on his parenting philosophy, sharing the principles he aspires to impart to his child. Reflecting on his own childhood, Abhishek acknowledged his parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, as pivotal influences in his understanding of the intricacies of parenting.

In a recent interview, Abhishek discussed his approach to parenting, particularly in relation to his daughter and the principles he aims to instil in her. He remarked, “One spends a lifetime in pursuit of self-discovery. However, there are fundamental values that one should uphold. If you can be recognized and remembered for those values, I believe you have lived a successful life. This reflects my upbringing. I have observed my parents embody these principles, and I aspire to do the same for my daughter.”
Abhishek expressed his belief that parents may not always serve as the most effective educators for their children, stating, “I am somewhat ambivalent about whether parents are the best teachers. Our emotions and our desire for our children to succeed and avoid pain can cloud our judgment. A parent should exemplify and instruct through their actions. Much of what I have learned from my parents has come from observing their behaviour rather than from direct instruction. Fortunately, they have allowed me the autonomy to make my own choices. Yet, in moments of uncertainty, I often reflect, ‘What would my father have done?’ considering how he or my mother might handle a particular situation.”
He further acknowledged that he draws ongoing inspiration from his father, Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek noted that his father, at the age of 82, begins his workday at 7 a.m., and he aspires to follow this example. He expressed a desire that when he reaches the age of 82, his daughter will be able to speak of him in a similar manner.
