Abhishek Bachchan hails from a prominent family, featuring legends like Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bachchan. In a recent chat with CNBC-TV18, he opened up about wanting to create something "tangible" for his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, beyond just his family legacy.

Abhishek Bachchan considers Amitabh and Jaya to be like gods in his eyes

Abhishek has a really tight relationship with his parents. When asked about his religious beliefs, he mentioned that he sees his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, as his version of God. He said, "I’m not sure if I’m super religious. I have my own connection with God, but before I reach out to Him, I turn to my parents first. They should be the ones you rely on. To me, they’re like God. Everything I am is thanks to my family. I’m all about family. Everything I do is for them, and they’re my first call."

He also talked about how he counts on his parents during tough times and really values their advice. Abhishek expressed his heartfelt appreciation for his grandfather, the famous poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who laid the groundwork for the Bachchan name, which stands for excellence and respect. He hopes that his daughter Aaradhya and future generations will carry on the legacy of dignity and values that come with the Bachchan name.

Abhishek aims to create a lasting legacy for Aaradhya

Abhishek is really proud of his family legacy, but he also wants to create something lasting for his daughter. He mentioned, “I feel like I should focus on leaving something concrete for my daughter, aside from just creativity. That’s why I see my work beyond acting as a way to achieve that, whether it’s through sports or other ventures I get into.”

Next up, Abhishek Bachchan will star in the film Be Happy, featuring Innayat Verma and Johnny Lever. Directed by Remo D'Souza, the movie tells the story of a single dad who goes all out to make his daughter's dreams come true. It’s a dance drama that will be available on Amazon Prime, but the release date hasn’t been revealed yet. He’s also got Tarun Mansukhani's Housefull 5 coming up, which includes a star-studded cast with Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Fardeen Khan, and Jackie Shroff, and it’s set to hit theaters this year.
