Shah Rukh Khan is returning to the world of The Lion King alongside his two sons, Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan. The Bollywood icon has shared that his youngest son, AbRam, made considerable effort to memorize his lines, expressing his delight at AbRam's commitment.
In the Hindi version of Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King, Shah Rukh Khan provides the voice of Mufasa, while his son Aryan Khan voices Simba. Additionally, Shah Rukh’s youngest son, AbRam Khan, has taken on the role of young Mufasa.
Shah Rukh on working with Aryan and AbRam
Shah Rukh Khan discussed his experiences collaborating with his sons in a recent video released by the studio on Tuesday. The video, shared on Instagram, features Shah Rukh reflecting on his work with Aryan in The Incredibles.
"When Aryan and I did the dubbing, it was more challenging compared to the present day. What struck me about both of them was their remarkable patience. I was uncertain whether they would possess such patience at such a young age," Shah Rukh remarked in the video.
He further noted, "However, both dedicated significant effort to the project. They would sit down and practice their Hindi lines. If I were to highlight a difference, I believe that when Aryan first dubbed for The Incredibles, more people were conversing in Hindi, which made learning and performing in Hindi somewhat easier."
Shah Rukh also conveyed his concerns regarding AbRam's ability to adapt to the evolving linguistic landscape.
"It has been about 10-15 years... Nowadays, people tend to prefer speaking in English. I am pleased that he put in the effort for the project. He learned his 20-25 Hindi lines alongside his sister (Suhana). Thus, the entire family participated," the actor shared.
The common element
Shah Rukh observed a shared characteristic in the voices of Aryan and AbRam, remarking on their gentle quality.
"What excites me is that when I hear Aryan's voice from his earlier film, it contrasts significantly with his current voice. I hope to experience a similar transformation when I listen to AbRam's voice in 8 or 10 years. Preserving the voices of Aryan and AbRam in a film is a cherished memory for me; it serves as a keepsake and a record of this moment," he concluded with a sense of pride.
