Aanchal Munjal Praises Allu Arjun’s Dedication While Shooting for 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'

Aanchal Munjal, recognized for her performances in films like We Are Family and Sei, as well as television series such as Dhoom Machao Dhoom and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, has recently made her foray into Tollywood with Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. In an interview with, Aanchal expressed that she feels "over the moon" and "ecstatic" about the positive reception her character in the film has received.
Aanchal Munjal Expresses Pride in Being Part of 'Pushpa 2'
Aanchal has been involved in acting for several years, having started her career as a child actor before transitioning to supporting roles. Her recent collaboration with Saurabh Sachdeva in the film, along with her scenes featuring the lead actor, Allu Arjun, has led to an influx of commendations in her direct messages. She articulates, “There is no specific reason required to accept a role in a film like Pushpa; it is widely recognized as a significant franchise,” further emphasizing, “Being part of it is truly an honour.”
However, similar to Saurabh's recent comments, Aanchal initially had more scenes in the film when she agreed to the project. “Regrettably, audiences were unable to see me in those scenes, which were quite enjoyable to film,” she remarks. After a brief pause, she adds, “To be honest, I anticipated this outcome, as I recall Sukumar sir mentioning that the film was exceeding its intended length during our shooting sessions. I was mentally prepared for this possibility.”
When asked if she feels disheartened by the final result, she promptly responds, “I am concentrating on the significant impact my scene has on the film; it serves as a pivotal moment in the narrative. Therefore, I choose to focus on the positive aspects. Although I was initially dismayed by the removal of my dialogues, the overwhelming response instilled a sense of pride in my involvement with this film. My aspiration was to be part of Pushpa 2, and I have accomplished that.”

Aanchal expresses that her experience filming Pushpa 2: The Rule is one she will treasure for a lifetime. She remarks, “Saurabh is among the finest co-stars one could wish for. Many seek to learn acting from him, and I had the privilege of acquiring knowledge directly on set through our collaboration. Even during breaks, he imparted invaluable lessons that I will always remember. He also shared with me messages from fans who praised my performance.”
Regarding Arjun, Aanchal describes him as ‘highly professional’ and ‘committed’. She recalls, “In the initial two days, I questioned whether he was aloof due to his silence around others.” However, she continues, “He soon became more approachable. He is genuinely kind and surprisingly humble. I came to understand that his quiet demeanour stemmed from his immersion in his character while on set. His level of commitment is remarkable; one does not see Allu Arjun, but rather Pushpa.”
‘I want to continue doing good work’
Aanchal made her debut in the southern film industry with the 2018 Tamil movie Sei, and now she is set to appear in Pushpa 2: The Rule, marking her second film in this region and her first in Telugu. "Working in Bollywood felt like being a child in a candy store; it was my safe space. While I haven't noticed much difference between that and working in the South, I truly appreciate the respect everyone shows here," she remarks.
Her enthusiasm for working in this industry is so great that she is eager to take on more Telugu projects. "Acting has always been my passion, and I yearn for the affection of the audience. My journey began with a cameo in Shanno Ki Shaadi (Divya Dutta's 2005 TV show), and it feels as though no time has elapsed since then. I started my career without concern for the size of my role, and that sentiment remains unchanged. My goal is to keep producing quality work that earns me more love," she concludes.
