Aamir Khan recently drew a comparison between Khushi Kapoor and her late mother, Sridevi, after checking out the rough cut of her new movie, Loveyapa. According to ANI, Aamir expressed that he’s a huge fan of Sridevi and always wished to collaborate with her. The film also features Aamir's son, Junaid Khan. 

Aamir sees some common traits between Khushi and Sridevi

Aamir opened up about his first thoughts on the movie, saying, "I’ve seen the rough cut, and I really enjoyed it. It’s super entertaining! It captures how our lives have changed with cell phones and all the quirky stuff that comes with it. The cast did a fantastic job. When I saw Khushi (Kapoor) on screen, it reminded me so much of Sridevi. Her energy was just like hers, and I could totally feel it. I’m a massive fan of Sridevi."

He shared his admiration for Sridevi, saying, "I’m a huge fan of Sridevi. Working with her was always a dream of mine. She was an incredible artist. When the camera was off, she kept her talent under wraps, but once it started rolling, her true skills shone through. The energy she brought reminded me a lot of Khushi Kapoor's performances."

Who is Khushi

Khushi is the youngest daughter of the late Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. She kicked off her acting career in 2023 with Zoya Akhtar's film The Archies, which premiered on Netflix. This movie also introduced Suhana, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, along with Agastya, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan.

All about Loveyapa

Loveyapa is a new romantic comedy on the way. It marks the first time Junaid and Khushi will be seen on the big screen together. Junaid previously debuted in Maharaja. The film is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Sharvari.

Set to hit theaters on February 7, the movie is helmed by Advait Chandan and produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment. According to the creators, Loveyapa is described as a “twisted story of love and its ups and downs, packed with fun and laughter, promising to be a delightful cinematic experience.”
