The actor and director recently unveiled a new poster for the film, prompting speculation among fans about whether the figure depicted is Aamir Khan or Rick Yune.

On March 25, Prithviraj unveiled a poster showcasing a figure clad in a black outfit adorned with a red dragon motif. Notably, the poster only displayed the man's back, igniting intrigue regarding his identity. Alongside the poster, he commented, “2 days to go. L2E in theatres worldwide from March 27.” This announcement has created significant anticipation among fans.

Internet debates if it is Aamir or Rick Yune

The internet has been abuzz with speculation regarding the identity of the actor featured in the latest poster. One fan remarked, “It’s Aamir Khan; just look at his ears.” Another chimed in, “It’s Aamir Khan. His sister also has a significant role in the film.” A further comment stated, “If Aamir Khan is the antagonist, the confrontation will be monumental.” Some users proposed that the actor might be Hollywood star Rick Yune. One fan asserted, “It’s not Aamir; it’s Rick Yune, confirmed!” Another user even inquired of AI Grok, “Does this image closely resemble Rick Yune?” In response, Grok stated, "The 'L2: Empuraan' poster depicts a man, likely Mohanlal, seen from behind in a suit facing a dragon. Given the lack of a visible face, a strong resemblance to Rick Yune is improbable. While the style may remind one of Yune's action roles, the physical similarity is uncertain." Another user concluded, “It’s Rick Yune, without a doubt.”

About L2: Empuraan

The action thriller in the Malayalam language is helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, with the screenplay crafted by Murali Gopy. This film serves as the second part of a trilogy and continues the narrative established in the 2019 movie, Lucifer. Mohanlal takes on the leading role, supported by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Abhimanyu Singh, among others, in significant roles. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on March 27.

Regarding the ambitious nature of L2: Empuraan, Prithviraj shared with Hindustan Times, “This film represents the deep end of the swimming pool for us. I believe no one in our industry has attempted a project of this magnitude. While writing the script, I feared it might never come to fruition. I realized I had set my sights too high, and for some reason, I couldn't scale it down. It was only due to the faith of Mohanlal sir and my producer, Antony Perumbavoor, that we were able to proceed. We made the decision to fully commit to this endeavor.”
