Fans are excitedly looking forward to news about Aamir Khan's upcoming movie. His next project is Sitaare Zameen Par, which is being described as a spiritual sequel. During a chat with his fan club in China, shared on X (formerly Twitter), Aamir revealed some details about his role in the film.

What Aamir Khan mentioned

In the conversation, Aamir shared, “I’m currently working on a film titled [Sitaare Zameen Par], which is nearly finished. It’s a sequel to Taare Zameen Par and takes the theme to a whole new level. This one focuses on individuals with different abilities and explores love, friendship, and life. While Taare Zameen Par tugged at your heartstrings, this film is all about humor. It’s a comedy, but it carries the same core message.”

He doesn't have a sensitive bone in his body

He mentioned, "In Taare Zameen Par, I played Nikumb, a really sensitive character. In this new film, my character is named Gulshan, and he couldn't be more different from Nikumbh. Gulshan lacks sensitivity; he's quite rude, politically incorrect, and tends to insult everyone around him. He has conflicts with his wife and mother, and as a basketball coach, he even gets physical with his senior coach. He’s dealing with a lot of personal issues, and the film explores his transformation as he learns from those around him what it truly means to be a good person."

He also shared that this film is a remake of the Spanish movie Champions. The announcement for Sitaare Zameen Par came out in October 2023, featuring Aamir, Darsheel Safary, and Genelia Deshmukh in leading roles. RS Prasanna is directing the sequel, but the official release date hasn't been revealed yet.
