Aamir Khan Reflects on Rivalry and Friendship with Shah Rukh and Salman Khan: 'Of Course, There Was Tension'

Aamir Khan recently opened up about his past rivalry with fellow actors Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. He mentioned that their relationship has changed significantly over time. Nowadays, the three of them are so at ease with one another that they can easily share their opinions, whether they agree or disagree. Aamir shared these insights during a recent interview.

Aamir Khan acknowledges that there was a rivalry among the Khans at one time

In a chat with Just Too Filmy, Aamir Khan acknowledged that there was some competition among his peers at one time. He mentioned, "We all wanted to outshine each other. That's what you call rivalry, right? It definitely existed. We all aimed to be ahead. Sometimes Shah Rukh would take the lead, other times it was me, and sometimes Salman."

He also admitted, "There have been disagreements too. The media has reported on quite a few conflicts. I'm not saying anything new here. There have been ups and downs."

The Khans have let go of any bitterness they once had

He mentioned that every relationship has its ups and downs, but he assured that the competition among the Khans is a thing of the past. "I don’t think Salman, Shah Rukh, or I see it that way anymore. After 35 years together, there’s a noticeable warmth and friendship among us now. Salman, Shah Rukh, and I are much more at ease with each other. The rivalry isn’t really a focus for us anymore."

Aamir really felt this camaraderie during the Ambani wedding, where they had to perform a script and could easily agree or disagree on the spot without hesitation.

A film featuring all three Khans could happen, but...
