Superstar Rajinikanth is poised to captivate audiences with his upcoming action thriller, Coolie. The film is generating significant excitement as it unites several prominent figures in Indian cinema. In addition to Rajinikanth, the cast includes Tamil superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni and Kannada star Upendra Rao. Furthermore, it has been announced that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will make a cameo appearance in the film.

Aamir Khan's cameo revealed

A report from Pinkvilla indicates that Kannada actor Upendra Rao has confirmed the news during a promotional event for his upcoming film, 45, alongside Shiva Kumar and Raj B Shetty in Hyderabad.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) from the press conference, Upendra was inquired about his experience working on Coolie. He responded, "I did not ask him anything, but when Lokesh (Kanagaraj) garu narrated the story, I simply expressed that it would be enough for me to stand next to him (Rajinikanth) for a few minutes. If I am Ekalavya, he is my Dronacharya. While he has provided entertainment to many, he has given me enlightenment. Rajini sir embodies that, and I feel fortunate to have collaborated with him." When questioned about filming with Nagarjuna and Aamir, he replied, "Yes, we have shared scenes together."

About Coolie

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie will showcase Rajnikanth in a character that possesses complex, grey shades. Key roles will be portrayed by Nagarjuna and Upendra, with the cast also featuring Shruti Hassan, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir.

Aamir Khan is set to make a cameo appearance at a significant point in the film, although specifics regarding his role remain undisclosed. Additionally, Pooja Hegde has been confirmed to perform in a special dance sequence. Produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures, the film is scheduled for release in theaters on August 19.
