Basil Joseph, who portrayed a police officer in the recently launched Pravinkoodu Shappu, also took on the role of newlywed Rakesh in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. This film, which featured Darshana's character Jaya actively advocating for her respect and rights, generated considerable discussion. Azees Nedumangad, who played Rajesh’s cousin Ani in the film directed by Vipin Das, mentioned that Aamir Khan Productions, known for Ghajini, expressed interest in remaking the film in Hindi but faced challenges in assembling the appropriate cast from Bollywood.

Azees Nedumangad elaborated in a recent interview with the Reporter channel that discussions took place regarding the casting of the film. It was decided to allow the actress who portrayed the mother in the Malayalam version to reprise her role in the Hindi remake. They also contemplated extending this approach to the remaining cast members, as they struggled to find suitable actors for those character roles. Ultimately, due to the challenges in casting as desired, the project was abandoned.
