Blessy disappointed over AR Rahman’s snub

However, Blessy didn’t mince words and expressed his disappointment over the veteran music composer AR Rahman’s snub, at the Kerala State Film Awards 2024. The senior filmmaker pointed out that the iconic songs and original score composed by Rahman for the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer were overlooked by the State Awards jury. The director stated that AR Rahman would not be even bothered, but this movie caused pain to him as music is the soul of Aadujeevitham.

After the Kerala State Film Awards 2024 were announced, a lot of netizens expressed the same disbelief and disappointment over AR Rahman’s snub at the awards. However, the legendary musician went on to win the 70th National Film Award for Best Music Direction for the background score of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. Notably, Rahman has not reacted to any of the Kerala State Film Awards results, yet.
