Aaditi Pohankar, who gained significant recognition for her performance in Bobby Deol's Aashram, was previously involved in Aamir Khan's Dangal. She even undertook the challenge of learning Haryanvi for the role; however, the project ultimately did not materialize. After commencing preparations for Aamir's film, Aaditi was replaced, with Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra taking on the roles instead. Shortly thereafter, she received an offer for Prakash Jha's Aashram, which required a comparable character. Here is her perspective on the matter......

Aaditi Pohankar on missing out on Dangal for Aashram

Aaditi shared with ETimes, "It is often said that the knowledge we acquire will eventually find its application, correct?" She referenced her experience preparing for Dangal, which ultimately led her to Aashram at a later stage. During her training for Dangal, she mastered the Haryanvi accent and gained insights into the mindset of wrestlers, skills that proved beneficial for her role in Prakash Jha’s 'Aashram'. While she believes her character in Aashram encompasses much more, the foundation she built while preparing for Dangal significantly contributed to her performance. "I am thrilled because I no longer carry an unfulfilled aspiration," she remarked, noting that working on Aashram felt akin to producing four films simultaneously.

With the conclusion of Aashram season 3 and Prakash Jha's departure from the series, it will be some time before the cast, including Aaditi, returns to their roles. In the meantime, Aaditi is preparing for three new projects, as she revealed in a recent interview. It is currently unclear if one of these projects will be a new season of SHE.
