Insights from Murugadoss
Reflecting on his collaboration with Salman, Murugadoss remarked, “Salman sir is truly unique. The scale of Sikandar was enormous, often featuring scenes with crowds ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 people. Managing such large gatherings demanded heightened security and meticulous coordination. Our shooting schedule was extremely taxing, further complicated by security threats.”
“Our biological rhythms were disrupted”
He further explained, “Following that, security protocols were intensified, and the verification of all additional artists on set would take 2-3 hours each day. The process of managing their entries and exits consumed a significant portion of our time, leading to late starts and concluding shoots in the early hours. Our biological rhythms were thrown off. However, once we adjusted, it became a routine, and the atmosphere on set was filled with positive energy.”
Salman has encountered several threats, which have led to increased security around him. On November 5 of last year, the Mumbai Police received a threat directed at Salman Khan, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The message presented the actor with two choices: apologize or pay ₹5 crore to ensure his safety.
AR Murugadoss is renowned for directing notable Tamil and Hindi films, including Ghajini, Thuppakki, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Sarkar. The cast also features Kajal Aggarwal and Rashmika Mandanna, while the film's storyline remains undisclosed. It is produced under Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
