A guy who accused Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has finally decided to go public. He filed a lawsuit against the music mogul using the name John Doe and recently opened up about his allegations in an interview with CNN. To keep his identity under wraps, they hid his face and altered his voice while he talked about the claims he made in the lawsuit he filed on October 14.
A Diddy accuser says the drinks felt 'off.'
The accuser shared with the news outlet, “At first, he was super friendly and really nice,” during his interview. He mentioned that after having two drinks from the mogul, he felt that “something” was “off” with them. He explained, “The first drink started hitting me, and I thought, ‘Wow, these are really strong.’ It wasn’t until the second drink that I realized something was wrong, but by then, it was already too late.”
He went on to say, “Unfortunately, Sean Combs was lurking nearby. He was watching from some spot, and once I was in a vulnerable state and he felt he had the upper hand, he took advantage of me.”
In his complaint, the man suspected that the drinks were laced with GHB and ecstasy. He described the effects, saying a couple of drinks “felt like 15” and that he “couldn’t even stand.” He added, “It was an incredible level of incapacitation that I had never felt before, and I felt completely powerless.”
According to the complaint, he initially thought Diddy was showing concern when he approached him, but it quickly turned into something else when he “forcibly pushed” him into an SUV, causing him “significant pain.” He claimed the rapper held him down inside the vehicle, and he struggled to fight back due to “the effects of the drugs” in his system.
The man told CNN, “I was screaming and begging him to stop. It was excruciating, and he acted like it was nothing. He seemed completely detached from the situation. It was beyond abusive.”
Involvement of a ‘high-profile celebrity’
A man chose not to disclose the celebrity's name but mentioned, “There was one well-known person who witnessed what happened and thought it was funny.” In his lawsuit, he claims he informed his supervisor about the incident, only to be told he could never work for the security company again. He recounted to the news outlet, “He just brushed it off and said, ‘I’ll talk to [Combs],’ referring to his chat with the supervisor.
He went on to say, “After that, he completely ignored me... I had to switch careers,” explaining that the whole experience caused him emotional distress and trauma that lingered for years. He told the outlet, “Nothing can restore the person I was before that night. The weight of it stays with me even now. It impacts everything I do for the rest of my life.”
He also admitted that he hadn’t even discussed the incident with his wife because he felt overwhelming shame.
As reported by CNN, he is pursuing both compensatory and punitive damages in his lawsuit, which is part of a broader set of legal actions initiated by Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee in October. Buzbee has indicated that he represents over 100 people who have accused the founder of Bad Boy Records of sexual misconduct.
Combs' lawyers have replied.
Combs' attorney shared with People Magazine, “This week, Buzbee was called out for pressuring clients to file fake cases against Mr. Combs. Plus, public records revealed that there was no white party in the Hamptons back in 2006, which contradicts his claims. Now, Buzbee has changed his complaint, shifting the date and year entirely.”
CNN reported that Jay-Z's legal team recently submitted court papers accusing attorney Tony Buzbee of pressuring a woman in a separate case to make false claims against Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs. The woman allegedly refused and was subsequently let go by Buzbee's firm.
In a letter to the judge, Jay-Z's lawyer Alex Spiro mentioned that the woman felt pressured to falsely connect her case to Combs. Buzbee called these allegations "completely absurd." Furthermore, Combs' legal team addressed John Doe's lawsuit and other cases filed by Buzbee on October 14, as noted by People.
The lawyer remarked, “The press conference and the 1-800 number that came before today’s flood of filings were obvious attempts to attract media attention. Mr. Combs and his legal team are fully confident in the facts, their legal arguments, and the integrity of the judicial system. In court, the truth will come out: Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — regardless of age or gender.”
