Supporters of the Lovely Runner star unanimously resonate with NMIXX's Haewon following her candid and somewhat flustered revelation regarding her ideal partner. The K-pop artist, who was recently featured on You Quiz, shared some charming insights into her personal tastes during an engaging and open dialogue with host Yoo Jae Suk.

Haewon recently appeared on a variety show alongside Ailee, Park Jinjoo, and Mijoo. During a lighthearted segment featuring questions, the focus shifted to her romantic preferences, prompting her to share her ideal type. The hosts quickly reassured her that revealing her preference did not imply any obligation to pursue a relationship; it was merely an opportunity to express her taste.

Caught off guard by the inquiry, Haewon’s cheeks flushed slightly. After a moment of contemplation, she responded, “A cute person.” The K-pop star skillfully refrained from being overly specific, ensuring she did not mention anyone from the industry to avoid igniting rumours.

Ailee responded with excitement, clapping her hands playfully, while Park Jinjoo joined in, mimicking hand gestures to humorously exaggerate Haewon’s notion of “cute.” However, Yoo Jae Suk was not inclined to let her evade the question so easily. He pressed her further, inquiring if there was anyone in particular who fit her description. With a smile, she replied, “Someone like Byeon Woo Seok sunbaenim.”

The panel erupted in laughter at Haewon’s choice, playfully teasing her for selecting a global star. Byeon Woo Seok gained significant recognition in 2024 for his portrayal of Sun Jae in Lovely Runner.

Byeon Woo Seok is expected to take the lead role in the 2025 MBC romantic series. In addition to this, following his portrayal of a K-pop idol in the fictional band Eclipse in his recent K-drama, the actor is reportedly set to engage in a romantic storyline with a real-life K-pop idol, the renowned soloist IU. As per information from Kakao Entertainment, Byeon Woo Seok will appear alongside IU in the forthcoming MBC drama tentatively titled Wife of a 21st Century Prince.

In this series, Byeon will portray Lee Ahn, a contemporary prince who grapples with the responsibilities of his royal lineage. IU will play the role of Sung Hee Joo, an exceptionally intelligent and graceful heiress who leads Korea’s largest conglomerate.
