Rajinikanth starrer TJ Gnanavel's film 'Vettayan' will release on October 10 as a Dussehra gift amid huge expectations. In this context, Rajini's comments about the story of this film have gone viral. Rajini suggested changes to the story first brought by TJ Gnanavel. They asked to add commercial elements in it. Rajinikanth said that he heard the story of 'Vettayan' on the recommendation of his daughter Soundarya. I really liked the movie 'Jaibheem' directed by T.J. Gnanavel. But, never got a chance to talk to Gnanavel in the past. I listened when Soundarya told me to listen to the story of 'Vettayan'. It felt good. However, making this film costs a lot of money.

That's why I asked to add some commercial elements in the story. He asked for 10 days. 'I will convert it into a commercial film. But, I can't turn it into a movie of Nelson Dilipkumar and Lokesh Kanagaraj. I will change this story to make the audience like it in my style,' said Gnanavel. I said, 'I want the same... otherwise I would have gone to Lokesh and Dileep'. After 10 days he made changes in the story and brought it. I was surprised to see it," said Rajinikanth. Rajini recalls that Gnanavel insisted that Anirudh be the only music director for this film. Director TJ Gnanavel is making this movie based on a fake encounter that happened in Tamil Nadu. This is Rajinikanth's 170th film. It is reported that he will be seen as a retired police officer. Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Fazil, Rana, Rithikasingh, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan played key roles. It will be released in Telugu with the same name.
