Prithviraj Sukumaran's Malayalam movie L2 Empuraan hit theaters this Thursday. The star of the film, Mohanlal, enjoyed a screening with fans at the Kavitha Theatre in Kerala. Prithviraj's mother was there too, and Mohanlal shared a sweet moment with her, giving her a warm kiss, which has now gone viral online.

Mohanlal's fan pages shared a bunch of videos from his trip to the theater. In one clip, you can see him entering with his crew and noticing Mallika, who is already in her seat. He takes a moment to give her a friendly kiss before heading to his own spot. After he leaves, his team also takes a moment to say hi to her.

In another clip, fans are seen turning towards his seat and shouting 'Lalettan' (big brother). A few of them even pulled out their phones, stretching their necks to get a better look at him. Mohanlal's wife, Suchitra, joined him for the event, sitting beside him after they got there early to enjoy the movie.

Numerous videos on his fan pages show the audience celebrating the film’s release at various single screens by bursting crackers, throwing confetti, putting up large posters and more.

L2 Empuraan Overview

L2 Empuraan is the follow-up to Prithviraj’s successful 2019 film, Lucifer, and it’s the second installment in a trilogy. Alongside Mohanlal and the actor-director, the cast includes Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Nikhat Khan Hegde, Jerome Flynn, Indrajith Sukumaran, Eriq Ebouaney, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Originally set for a 2020 release, the film was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Written by Murali Gopy, the movie was produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies. After its release, it garnered mixed reviews across Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi audiences. The soundtrack was composed by Deepak Dev. The film is anticipated to have a strong opening at the box office and perform well over the weekend.
