Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh had a rough experience while filming with Emraan Hashmi for Jannat. In a video posted by Aaj Entertainment on their YouTube channel, Javed joined Omer Shahzad and Arsala for a Ramadan Transmission and revealed that Emraan was pretty disrespectful to him during the shoot.

What went down while they were filming Jannat?

During the interaction, Javed recalled his experience of shooting with Emraan in Jannat and said that he had not got any chance to meet the actor before the shoot began. He went on add in Hindi, “Mahesh Bhatt was the producer and got a new director on board, Kunal, to direct the project. He explained the entire plot and everything to me when I signed the project, but I had not had an opportunity to meet Emraan Hashmi until then.”

'He looked away'

The two finally crossed paths in South Africa at Newlands Cricket Stadium. Javed shared that he was surprised by Emraan's frosty demeanor. “I reached out to shake his hand, but he responded in a really cold way. He gave a half-hearted handshake and even turned his head away, which really annoyed me. I thought, ‘Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Salman Khan treat me with respect, calling me Javed Ji, and this young guy acts like this. Who does he think he is?’ When Emraan arrived, I went through the rehearsal but didn’t even glance at him. For the rest of the shoot, I didn’t speak to him at all,” he recounted.

Jannat was a crime drama directed by Kunal Deshmukh, featuring Sonal Chauhan and Samir Kochhar. The film did well at the box office, leading to two sequels: Jannat 2 and Jannat 3.

Emraan was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series Showtime and will next appear in Ground Zero.
