Veteran actor Dharmendra demonstrated that age is merely a number as he graced the premiere of his son Sunny Deol's forthcoming film, Jaat, in Mumbai. Despite having undergone recent eye surgery, the seasoned actor radiated positivity. He not only expressed his support for his son but also captivated the audience with his bhangra performance on the dhol at the red carpet event.

Dharmendra's vibrant presence at the Jaat premiere

On April 9, Dharmendra attended the screening of Jaat, where he posed for photographers on the red carpet. The 89-year-old actor showcased his lively spirit as he danced to the rhythmic beats of the dhol.

The evening's highlight occurred when Dharmendra spontaneously began to dance, moving to the lively dhol rhythms. As the drums resonated and cameras clicked, the 89-year-old enthusiastically joined the celebration. With a beaming smile and lively dance steps, he entertained the crowd, prompting cheers from the gathered photographers. A video capturing Dharmendra's spontaneous dance has emerged on social media, receiving widespread admiration.

For the outing, Dharmendra opted for a casual look, donning a shirt and pants paired with a cap. In a separate video, Sunny was spotted arriving at the venue with his co-stars, where he also joined in dancing to the rhythm of the dhol.

Sunny's Upcoming Film

Sunny's next appearance on the big screen will be in the film titled Jaat. This project is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, a Hyderabad-based company renowned for the blockbuster Pushpa franchise featuring Allu Arjun. Scheduled for release on April 10, Jaat is directed by Gopichand Malineni and is described by the producers as a high-energy drama filled with spectacular action sequences. The film will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The cast also includes Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra.

Dharmendra's Eye Surgery

Earlier this month, Dharmendra underwent cataract surgery. Videos surfaced on social media showing him with an eye patch on April 1. In these clips, he remarked, “I’m still very strong…I had an eye graft. I’ll be leaving now, okay?”

Following the release of the video, a family source informed everyone that Dharmendra had recently undergone cataract surgery. "At 89, he is experiencing age-related issues. The paparazzi were present when he stepped out today, and he took a moment to speak with them," the source stated. The actor was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024) alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, and he is set to appear next in Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, featuring Agastya Nanda.
