70th National Film Awards: Ayan Mukerji is grateful as Brahmastra wins 3 honours; here's what Karan Johar said

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was one of the biggest hits of 2022. The film won three honours today (August 16) at the 70th National Film Awards. It won the Best Film in AVGC award while Arijit Singh was honoured with Best Playback Singer (Male) for Brahmastra's song Kesariya. On the other hand, Pritam won the Best Music Director award for the movie. Now, both director Ayan and producer Karan Johar have reacted to this mega victory.

In an official statement, Ayan Mukerji said it is a special day for team Brahmastra. He further spoke about being grateful for his film's recognition at the National Film Awards. "The music of the film holds a special place in all our hearts. Pritam Da's compositions, coupled Amitabh’s lyrics and with Arijit's voice, is something I feel so proud and grateful for!," he said.

Mukerji added that team Brahmastra poured a lot of love into making the film. He thanked them for their fantastic collaborative effort. On the other hand, Karan Johar reacted to Brahmastra's big victory on his Instagram stories.

While reposting Dharma Productions' post, Johar penned, "So honored & ecstatic as our labour of love (& light) wins big at the prestigious 70th National Film Awards! (sic)."

About Brahmastra

Produced by Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures, Brahmastra had its theatrical release on September 9, 2022. The film featured Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy were also an integral part of the film.
