Emerging producer Sai Abhishek is set to make his debut with the emotional thriller, '28°C'. This film is produced under the banner of Veeranjaneya Productions, featuring Naveen Chandra and Shalini Vadnikatti in the lead roles. The film is directed by Dr. Anil Vishwanath, known for his work on Polimera, marking his first venture as a director. 28°C is scheduled for a significant theatrical release on April 4th. In a recent interview, producer Sai Abhishek discussed the key aspects of 28°C.

"Dr. Anil Vishwanath and I share a close friendship and a mutual enthusiasm for filmmaking. Anil began his career in the direction department of the film Kshanam, while I also explored directing for a period. Eventually, we decided to work together on a project. The concept of '28°C', centered around a distinctive temperature theme, captivated me. We believed it would provide a novel experience for the audience."

"At first, we considered various actors for the lead role, but ultimately, we felt Naveen Chandra was the ideal choice. For the female lead, Anjali was our initial preference, but we opted for Shalini to introduce a fresh and contemporary face. The film was shot across several locations, beginning in Vizag, followed by Goa, and concluding in Georgia. We prioritized high production quality without any compromises, and our entire team was confident in the film's content."

28°C was finalized in 2019, with an initial release planned for May 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a postponement. Although we received interest from OTT platforms, we did not expect such a significant demand from them. Our preference was to premiere the film in theaters to provide audiences with an authentic cinematic experience. After discussions with my co-producers, Anil, and the team, we opted to wait for conditions to improve. While we were optimistic that normalcy would return quickly, the delay extended for several months. Now, thanks to Vamsi Nandipati's initiative, we are prepared to release 28°C in theaters on the 4th of this month.

Naveen Chandra has been an invaluable ally throughout this journey. He has believed in the film from its inception and continues to support it during the promotional phase. His performance is bound to resonate with the audience. Likewise, Shalini has delivered an outstanding performance. Her character grapples with a unique health issue tied to the temperature of 28°C; if her body temperature rises above this threshold, her life is endangered. It will be intriguing for viewers to witness how the couple navigates this predicament. The film transcends a single genre; it is a gripping love story that traverses various genres. Director Anil Vishwanath has skillfully crafted the film to keep the audience engaged and on the edge of their seats.

We encountered numerous challenges during the production of this film. I suffered a leg fracture when we began shooting in Vizag. Later, while filming in Georgia, we faced hurdles as the authorities initially denied us permission. However, following media coverage of our substantial production costs, the officials in Georgia ultimately granted us approval. Despite these challenges, we have always maintained confidence in the film's content and are optimistic that audiences will respond favorably upon its theatrical release.

Currently, we are considering several story ideas, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We will announce a new project in the near future.
