Unboxing a tiffin. Amazon has announced a new series, Young Sherlock. Our hero is a Hero. His full name is (drumroll, please) Hero Beauregard Faulkner Fiennes Tiffin. Hermione-level Potterheads know him as young Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009). Ah! So, Fiennes as in Uncle Ralph Fiennes. Will he make magic on screen or be a squib? It’s elementary.

Looking for a man in finance. Trust Fund. 6’5. Blue eyes. This is, apparently, what comedy creator Megan Boni asked for in a now-viral TikTok video. Her short (but near-impossible) list has been remixed and memed. Even better, finance bros have made it their anthem, and danced to it. The best bit: None of them look anything like what Boni asked for!

Going Saigon and on. Who knew Reels would be such a fun way to learn a new language? Korean teachers have been deploying rap beats to teach hangul. Now, Levion, a Vietnamese language-learning platform, has released catchy music mnemonics to count to 100, master the alphabet, and memorise the days of the week. Drop an album already!

Giving Pride a close look.It’s June and we all know what that means: Pride Month, rainbow celebrations and brands rushing to show support. But people are queer all year round. They don’t want 1+1 on drinks at bars, not as much as they want to go to bars on dates any time of the year without fear of being harassed. Check your local Pride promos closely.

Checking old photos. Actor Morgan Freeman just turned 87. The thing is, we could have sworn he’s been 87 for a while. Maybe playing God so many times makes him kind of immortal? We just need 10 minutes alone in a room with him, Maggie Smith (89), Patrick Stewart (83), Steve Martin (78) and Michael Caine (91).

Questioning everything. Isn’t it lovely when you rewatch your favourite shows, like Gilmore Girls, Friends or Cheers? Isn’t it horrible when you realise you’re now older than the ‘old people’ on the show? Lorelai Gilmore was 32 in S1. The cast of Cheers was between 32 and 35, and still looked 45. All of those Friends were about 26 when the show first aired. It hurts to know we’re closer in age to Lorelai from Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
