Raghav Juyal's Fav Recipe Haridwar's Moong Dal Chaat

Moong dal chaat is a famous street chaat from the city of Haridwar. This is Moong dal chaat is a favourite chaat snack of many folks and ours too. In a chat video with Curly Tales, the ‘kill’ actor Raghav Juyal reveals that he loves Haridwar's famous Moong Dal Chaat. Kanji Pakodi, Magic Chaat, Golgappe, and Jain chaat are some other popular street foods in India but, Moon dal chaat is super delicious and addictive among chaat lovers. How to make this healthy and high-protein snack at home is explained in this recipe step by step for your easy reference.

Moong Dal Chaat

Ingredients:

1.      Soaked Moog Dal

2.      Butter

3.      2 cup water

4.      Turmeric Powder

5.      Black salt

6.      Chopped green chilli

7.      Salt to taste

8.      1 tsp Coriander seeds

9.      1 tsp Cumin seeds

10.   Black pepper seed

11.   1 dried red chilli

12.   Ginger

13.   Finely chopped coriander leaves

14.   Dhanya imili chutney

Method:

 1.  Soak 2 cups of moong daal for 15 minutes. This will help the dal cook well and quickly. 

 2. Place the dal in a pressure cooker. Add 2 cups of water, 3 butter cubes, a pinch of turmeric powder, a pinch of hing and salt to taste. Cook it for 3-4 whistle and shut the flame.

3. Free heat a pan and add 1 tsp Coriander seeds, 1 tsp Cumin seeds, 1 dried red chilli, Black pepper seed and roast it.

 4. Grant this to get a powder and keep it aside.

 5. When the pressure comes down from the cooker, open the lid and mash the dal.

 6. Stir and cook well. if you want you can add more water to get the right consistency.

 7. Serve this into a bowl or leave as per for liking. Then spread the spices powder, Black salt, chopped chilli, and Dhanya imili chutney, over the dal and flake some dried chilli as well and Mix well

 8. It's time to garnish your Dal with some chopped fresh coriander leaves, Ginger slices
