It’s what Richie Rich would have if he lived in 2024.

LED screens that roll up are so last season. What’s cool now are invisible, wireless TVs. This one is transparent when it’s turned on, and invisible, like a glass pane, when turned off. The 77-inch screen frees up space where you’d normally place the TV. Turn the screen into a virtual fish tank, or display some art in case guests ask where the TV is.

Evie ring.

Movano Health’s Evie ring is designed for women wearers and tracks their heart rate, menstrual cycle, sleep quality, moods, steps and movement. No need to wear a bulky smartwatch to sleep or carry the phone along when walking. It costs $269 and comes in gold, rose gold and silver. It will require a subscription when it releases outside the US. But can your family heirlooms do half as much?

Clicks keyboard case.

Clicks is the first creator keyboard for the iPhone. It a little physical QWERTY keyboard that attaches to the bottom of the phone, leaving the screen free. More screen, more shortcuts, more space for apps and content. Best for those who miss the clickety clack of the physical Blackberry or their hipster Remington.

BetaVolt BV 100 battery.

What’s so special about a battery? This one, still in development in China, runs on nuclear energy and is designed to run for 50 years without recharging or maintenance. It’s a tiny little thing, about the size of a coin. It’s not enough to charge a smartphone, says developer BetaVolt, but they’re working on it.

Barsys 360 cocktail robot.

Less sexy than Tom Cruise in 1988, but only just. The smart bartender can craft cocktails, drawing from a recipe collection from the world’s best bars, mixologists, and alcohol brands. Connect via Bluetooth, pour in your ingredients, go tippy tippy tap on the app, and get ready to party. It’s expected to cost around ₹56,000 when released.

Doublepoint software.

Finnish start-up DoublePoint Technologies uses touch-sensing algorithms to basically turn any Android smartwatch into an all-powerful remote control via a Bluetooth connection. Turn the lights on and off, scroll Netflix, turn up the music or do anything really, all from your wrist. Could it power a... Giant Robot? We hope so!

LG DukeBox speakers.

Love mid-century modern decor? Love music? Love tech? LG’s 360-degree speaker system with OLED display finds a way to make them all worth together. Audiophiles will love that its vacuum-tubes glow orange when the display is fully transparent. There’s also a faux fireplace effect, in which the tubes appear among virtual flames. Switch off the transparency to watch movies on the OLED screen. It won’t be cheap. Cool stuff rarely is.

Xgimi Horizon Max projector.

What sets this projector apart? The little matter of it being IMAX Enhanced-certified. That means it fits the criteria for IMAX-level resolution, colour, contrast, brightness and DTS:X audio, on a home device. It uses a laser system to project images up to 15 feet high, and can automatically scan your walls to adjust the frame. No need to book tickets for the next Avatar or Dune instalment. Just invite people over. Play with the settings. You’ll be able to watch movies on one wall and play games on another.

Even the goodest of boys need a bit of a tech upgrade. The smart pet door is designed to slide over existing flap-style ones, and can be opened and closed via an app, so furry friends have access to rooms while their humans are away. It also comes with a Bluetooth tracker collar that opens a door automatically if your pet is near it. For pet parents everywhere, it means no more getting off the couch to open the door.
