Dipika loves traditional design and furniture

Dipika has a deep appreciation for traditional design and furnishings. Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan expressed her admiration for Dipika's family home in a recent video on her YouTube channel, stating, “This home does not look like it's in Mumbai, and reminds me of Ahmedabad.” In response, Dipika pointed to the tiles and remarked, “I think it is more inspired from Kerala.”

Dipika's observation holds merit, as her home exudes a nostalgic charm reminiscent of traditional Kerala residences. The extensive use of wooden elements and the inclusion of family heirlooms in her Mumbai home reflect the ‘less is more’ philosophy often associated with Kerala architecture.

Dipika's traditional and rustic abode, inspired by Indian design, strikes a harmonious balance between tranquility and warmth, infused with understated luxury. The yellow and off-white walls beautifully complement the warm brown tones of the wooden features throughout the space. While the wooden furniture showcases various shades of brown, the airy living room is adorned with light grey sofas that provide comfort for both the family and their guests.

To further enhance the inviting atmosphere of her sunlit sanctuary, Dipika has integrated traditional Indian patterns and motifs into her decor through textiles and rugs, along with metallic and wooden accents.
