Ather Energy is set to enhance the 450 Series by introducing two new colour options. The upcoming additions will feature a dark navy blue and a yellow scheme, which appear to be inspired by the Rizta electric scooter. In addition to these new colors, the Gen3 450 series may also incorporate the Magic Twist feature, along with several other enhancements.

This information has been disclosed by the Ather Owners in Coimbatore, and there is a possibility that the new colours and features will be launched in January 2025. Furthermore, the brand is gearing up for its Track Attack event, where the 450X will compete against a 160 cc motorcycle and a 125 cc internal combustion engine scooter. This event is scheduled to be streamed on YouTube on January 4.

Ather's IPO

Ather Energy has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its initial public offering (IPO) request submitted earlier this year. This endorsement from the regulatory body coincides with the approval of proposals from six other companies across various sectors.

The IPO proposed by Ather Energy, which specializes in electric two-wheelers, comprises a new issuance of equity shares amounting to ₹3,100 crore, in addition to an Offer For Sale (OFS) of 2.2 crore equity shares by its promoters and investor shareholders. Participants in the OFS include Caladium Investment Pte Ltd, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund II, 3State Ventures Pte Ltd, IITM Incubation Cell, and IITMS Rural Technology and Business Incubator, among others.

Ather Energy is set to establish a manufacturing facility

The capital raised from the new issuance will be directed towards capital expenditures for establishing an electric two-wheeler manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. Additionally, these funds will support investments in research and development, marketing initiatives, loan repayments, and general corporate functions.

This initiative represents the second electric two-wheeler company aiming to enter the public market, following Ola Electric Mobility, which successfully launched its initial public offering of ₹6,145 crore in August. This offering was significant as it marked the first by an automotive manufacturer in India in over twenty years.

Ather Energy is a specialized electric vehicle company that designs and develops all its products entirely in India. Founded in 2013, the company has focused on enhancing product and technology development within the country to establish a robust ecosystem for electric two-wheelers.
