Yamaha Motor India has prominently displayed the legendary RX 100 and RD 350 models at its pavilion during the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, taking place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This year marks the 40th anniversary of these iconic motorcycles in India, and the pavilion is themed ‘Aspirations Unveiled’. Yamaha aims to highlight a fusion of its rich history alongside its forward-looking ambitions at the event.
In addition to these classic models, a variety of other motorcycles are also featured, including the Yamaha YZR-M1, the innovative Y/AI concept bike, the Yamaha Lander 250, and the Tenere 7000 adventure motorcycles. The pavilion also showcases models such as the Yamaha MT-15, MT-03, R15, R3, and R7.

Renowned for its elegant and lightweight design, the Yamaha RX100 became a favorite due to its distinctive sound and impressive power. Production of this model ceased in March 1996. At that time, the motorcycle was equipped with a 100 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivered 11 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.39 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a 4-speed transmission. Its presence at the expo is sure to attract the attention of automotive enthusiasts.
Yamaha at the Auto Expo 2025: RD 350
The Yamaha RD 350 is the model that established Yamaha's reputation among motorcycle aficionados in India. Produced from 1973 to 1975, a licensed version was manufactured by the Escorts Group in India under the name Rajdoot 350. The Indian variant generated approximately 30 bhp in its High Torque version, compared to 39 bhp in the international models. Additionally, a Low Torque version was available, offering 27 bhp and improved fuel efficiency. The RD 350 has achieved cult status and is likely to evoke nostalgia among many attendees at the expo.
