Hero MotoCorp recently launched the XPulse 210 in the Indian market, marking it as one of the most anticipated motorcycle introductions. Initially, it was believed that the XPulse 210 would take the place of the XPulse 200 4V in the company's lineup. However, both models will be available for sale concurrently.

Both motorcycles are crafted for off-road performance, featuring a circular LED headlamp at the front, complemented by a windscreen and a beak-like mudguard. They both showcase a robust fuel tank, a single-piece seat, and an upswept exhaust. Notably, the XPulse 210 boasts a more aesthetically pleasing exhaust, which is slimmer and produces a superior sound. Overall, the XPulse 210 presents itself as a more polished iteration of the XPulse 200 4V.

In terms of features, the XPulse 200 4V is equipped with an LCD instrument cluster that includes Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and various ABS modes. In contrast, the XPulse 210 features a new 4.2-inch TFT display that provides extensive information, along with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and three ABS modes. Both models are equipped with all-LED lighting.

Both motorcycles are fitted with long-travel suspension systems at both ends; however, the XPulse 210 offers a longer travel of 210 mm in the front and 205 mm in the rear. The standard XPulse 200 4V has a travel of 190 mm at the front and 170 mm at the rear. The Rally spec version of the XPulse 200 4V features 250 mm and 220 mm of travel, respectively. Currently, there is no Rally version of the XPulse 210, but Hero MotoCorp is in the process of developing one.

The Xpulse 200 4V is powered by a 199cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is mated to a 5-speed transmission, producing 19.1 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This model features a taller gear ratio, which results in limited low-end torque. In contrast, the newly launched Xpulse 210 boasts a 210 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is also found in the Karizma XMR but is tuned differently due to variations in the camshaft and gearing. The Xpulse 210's engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that has a shorter gear ratio, improving its performance for both on-road and off-road riding. With the updated gearing and camshaft design, the Xpulse 210 produces 24.6 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 20.7 Nm at 7,250 rpm.

Hero XPulse 210 vs XPulse 200 4V: Pricing

The Standard Xpulse 200 4V is priced at ₹1.51 lakh, while the Xpulse 200 4V Pro is available for ₹1.64 lakh. In comparison, the Xpulse 210 starts at ₹1.76 lakh for the Base variant and goes up to ₹1.86 lakh for the Top variant. This results in a price difference of ₹25,000 between the Standard 200 4V and the Base Xpulse 210. Furthermore, there is a ₹22,000 price disparity between the feature-rich Xpulse 210 Top variant and the off-road capable Xpulse 200 4V Pro.

If you are in the market for a new motorcycle, the XPulse 210 is the superior choice. It offers a smoother and more refined experience, outperforming the standard XPulse 200 4V in various aspects. However, if you already own an XPulse 200 4V, it may be wise to consider alternatives beyond the XPulse 210, such as waiting for the anticipated XPulse 421.
