The compact sedan segment has experienced a revitalization with the launch of two new models, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the 2024 Honda Amaze. Both vehicles have been among the most favored in this category, and the recent updates have elevated their premium appeal. Consequently, the pricing has also increased. The second-generation Honda Amaze commenced at ₹7.19 lakh, while the third-generation model now begins at ₹8 lakh, ex-showroom. For those contemplating the 2024 Amaze, the mid-spec VX trim may represent the best value for money.
The 2024 Honda Amaze is offered in three trim levels: V, VX, and ZX. The V trim starts at ₹8 lakh, whereas the top-tier ZX with CVT transmission reaches ₹10.90 lakh. The VX trim is priced at ₹9.10 lakh for the manual transmission and ₹9.70 lakh for the CVT variant. This pricing is quite comparable to the second-generation Honda Amaze VX trim, which was priced at ₹9.80 lakh and ₹9.89 lakh for the manual and CVT options, respectively.
Although the VX trim was the priciest option in the second-generation Amaze lineup, it serves as the mid-spec variant in the third generation, with both trims offering nearly identical features. Notably, the third-generation VX trim provides additional features at a lower price point for the CVT option.
Honda Amaze VX
The 2024 Honda Amaze VX continues to feature 15-inch alloy wheels, consistent with its predecessor. However, the updated model does not include the dual-tone finish on the rims. Notable features of the 2024 Amaze VX comprise LED projector fog lights, automatic headlights, and power-foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs).

Additionally, it includes an automatic climate control system and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system complemented by a 6-speaker audio setup and Alexa integration. The second-generation Honda Amaze VX retains the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system found in its predecessor.
The dashboard is adorned with a satin metallic finish, and the VX trim level also offers Alexa compatibility. Enhanced safety features in this variant include a LaneWatch camera, a rear defogger, and a rearview camera. The VX variant is ideally suited for individuals seeking a sedan that is rich in features while maintaining an attractive price point.
