Volvo has unveiled the updated S90, introducing significant modifications to its premier luxury sedan. This facelift represents the second substantial update to the S90 since its debut in 2016. The refreshed S90 is equipped with additional features, including a new generation user interface.

Volvo S90 Facelift: What’s New?

The latest S90 features a more aggressive exterior design compared to its predecessor, reflecting the recent facelift of the XC90 that was introduced in the Indian market. The SUV showcases a redesigned front end, characterized by a larger grille adorned with angular chrome slats. The headlamps have been made slimmer and sharper, incorporating the signature Thor’s Hammer LED daytime running lights with Matrix-design LED technology. Additionally, the model boasts a newly sculpted hood and a revamped front bumper, enhancing its overall appearance. At the rear, the vehicle is equipped with newly designed LED taillights that mirror the pattern of the front DRLs. Furthermore, it comes with new diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Volvo S90 Facelift: Cabin

The interior of the cabin maintains its familiar design, now enhanced by a new 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This updated unit boasts a modern interface and supports over-the-air software updates, while Volvo has also made advancements in sound insulation. Additionally, the S90 facelift features a new adaptive suspension system designed to enhance ride comfort. Among its other offerings is the Pilot Assist feature, which incorporates various autonomous driving technologies.

The Volvo S90 facelift is powered by a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engine alongside a mild-hybrid four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The PHEV variant is expected to achieve a range of 80 km (WLTP) on electric power alone. However, the company has yet to disclose the final specifications for the engine options.

The cabin keeps its original layout but introduces a new, larger 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an updated user interface.
