Volkswagen India is preparing to introduce the new Tiguan R-Line on April 14. The German automotive manufacturer has already launched the standard Tiguan in the country before the R-Line's debut. Pre-bookings for the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line have commenced, allowing interested customers to reserve the SUV either at Volkswagen dealerships or through the official website.

The Tiguan R-Line will be available alongside another sporty model from the brand, the Golf GTI, which will be sold exclusively online in India. Further details regarding the Golf GTI are expected to be disclosed as the launch date approaches.

The Tiguan R-Line will be offered in India as a fully imported vehicle through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) method. The manufacturer has confirmed that the SUV will be available in six distinct color options, including Persimmon Red Metallic and Cipressino Green Metallic.

In terms of aesthetics, the Tiguan R-Line will closely resemble the standard model, featuring a larger radiator grille, R badges, sportier bumpers, and distinctive 19-inch alloy wheels with unique designs, along with connected LED taillights. Inside, the cabin will showcase updated AC vents, a larger 10.25-inch customizable digital cockpit instrument cluster, a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a head-up display (HUD), a drive selector switch, an eight-speaker audio system, and wireless charging capabilities.

The SUV will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission. Power will be distributed to all four wheels via the automaker's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system, delivering a peak output of 201 bhp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm.
