The latest generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is set to launch next month, with the German manufacturer having recently opened orders for this anticipated SUV. As bookings commence, Volkswagen has disclosed key information regarding the Tiguan R-Line for the Indian market, including engine specifications and available color options.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Specifications

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line will be introduced in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). It will be equipped with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 201 bhp and 320 Nm of maximum torque. This engine will be mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, distributing power to all four wheels through the 4Motion All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. The Tiguan R-Line is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds, with a maximum speed of 229 km/h.

Additionally, Volkswagen India has confirmed that the new Tiguan R-Line will be available in six distinct color options: Persimmon Red Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, Cipressino Green Metallic, and Oyster Silver Metallic.

Offered in a single, fully-equipped trim, the Tiguan R-Line will feature an array of advanced amenities, including a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sports front seats, ambient lighting, and more. Additional comforts will encompass dual-zone climate control with touchscreen-integrated controls, a drive selector, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) featuring adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Expected Price

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is expected to be launched on April 14, 2025, at which point pricing details will be revealed. It is anticipated that the model will be priced around ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it against full-size SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu MU-X, as well as entry-level luxury SUVs like the Audi Q3, BMW X1, and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
