If you are considering the purchase of the Volkswagen Taigun SUV or the Virtus sedan, December may present an optimal opportunity. The manufacturer is providing year-end discounts on both models, which can reach up to ₹2 lakh, depending on the specific variant. The Volkswagen Virtus has a starting price of ₹11.56 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with models such as the Skoda Slavia, Honda City, and Hyundai Verna. Meanwhile, the Taigun SUV, which competes with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the compact segment, starts at ₹11.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

The year-end discounts available for both the Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus include cash incentives, as well as exchange and loyalty bonuses. The manufacturer aims to reduce its inventory of older stock before the year concludes. Volkswagen is among several automakers in India offering substantial discounts on models produced this year that remain in dealer stockyards.

This month, the Virtus sedan is available with benefits totalling up to ₹1.50 lakh off its ex-showroom price. The discount package comprises cash benefits of ₹1 lakh, along with an additional ₹50,000 in exchange and loyalty bonuses. Furthermore, Volkswagen is providing scrappage benefits for the Virtus.

The Virtus compact sedan has recently reached a significant sales milestone of 50,000 units in India, establishing itself as one of the leading models in a segment poised for revival.

Volkswagen Taigun: Discounts in December

In December, the Taigun SUV received greater discounts compared to the Virtus sedan as part of Volkswagen's year-end promotion. The competitor to the Creta and Seltos is being offered with discounts of up to ₹2 lakh this month, which includes ₹1.50 lakh in cash benefits, along with exchange and loyalty bonuses amounting to ₹50,000.

Earlier this year, Volkswagen expanded its Taigun lineup in India by introducing two additional variants. The company launched the Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line, featuring cosmetic enhancements such as smoked headlamps, red GT badging, and black leatherette upholstery.
