Volkswagen intends to introduce nine new passenger vehicles to its lineup by 2027. This range will encompass electric cars, hybrid models, and those powered by internal combustion engines. The German automotive manufacturer has announced that it will globally launch these nine vehicles, which will include four new electric models.

Recently, Volkswagen presented its entry-level electric vehicle, the ID. EVERY1 is designed to be an affordable all-electric option. Displayed in concept form, the ID. EVERY1 is scheduled to begin production in 2027. Additionally, another electric model, the ID. 2all1, is set to debut in 2026. Both the ID. EVERY1 and ID. 2all1 will be built on Volkswagen's new modular electric vehicle platform, known as MEB, and will feature front-wheel drive.

Furthermore, the company is developing another electric vehicle, the ID. Concept GTI, a sporty EV expected to launch by 2027. Like the previous two models, this vehicle will also utilize the MEB platform. Volkswagen has indicated that the MEB architecture supports electric cars with front-wheel drive, achieving a top speed of 130 km/h, powered by a newly designed electric motor that delivers a peak output of 95 bhp. These electric vehicles are anticipated to provide a minimum range of 250 kilometers on a full charge.

Volkswagen aims to present a varied product lineup to its global customers in the upcoming years. In addition to diversifying its powertrain options for passenger vehicles, the manufacturer will concentrate on developing new software architecture to improve the efficiency of its vehicles and enhance the overall consumer experience. The automaker has confirmed that the ID. EVERY1 will be the first electric vehicle to incorporate this new software architecture, allowing for the integration of new features throughout its lifespan.
