We can likely expect their grand reveal during the company’s annual conference, which usually happens around May or June.

Right now, Volkswagen India’s lineup includes the Virtus, Taigun, and Tiguan. The company also shared that they experienced a 3% increase in sales from January to February 2025 compared to the same time last year. So, here’s what you can look forward to with these new models!

Volkswagen Golf GTI

Volkswagen Golf GTI has earned a solid reputation worldwide thanks to its impressive handling throughout the years. In India, the refreshed version of the eighth-generation model is set to make its debut. It will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, producing 265 HP. This sporty hatchback is said to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.

The new model will sport 18-inch Richmond diamond-cut alloy wheels, a bolder bumper design, signature tartan-patterned seat upholstery, and a steering wheel designed specifically for the GTI. Unveiled in April 2024, this version aims to carry on the Golf GTI’s legacy by combining power with unique styling.

Volkswagen Tiguan R Line is a stylish and sporty version of the popular SUV

Volkswagen is gearing up to roll out a fresh version of the Tiguan, called the R Line, which is all about adding a sportier vibe to the SUV. First hitting the market in 2021, the Tiguan is getting a boost with this exciting new variant. The Tiguan R Line will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that cranks out 190 HP and 320 Nm of torque. You'll notice design tweaks like bigger air intake channels and a revamped front bumper, but overall, it will still look a lot like the current second-generation model that's available worldwide.
