Hero MotoCorp's electric mobility division, Vida, has announced a reduction in prices for its V2 electric scooter lineup. The Vida V2 is now more competitively priced, offering a significant cost advantage over its competitors. The V2 electric scooter is available in three models: Lite, Plus, and Pro. The Vida V2 Lite is now priced at ₹74,000, making it ₹22,000 more affordable. The Vida V2 Plus has seen a price drop of ₹32,000, bringing its cost down to ₹82,800. Finally, the Vida V2 Pro is now available for ₹1.20 lakh, which is ₹14,700 less than its previous price. All prices are ex-showroom in New Delhi and include central subsidies.
Vida V2 Lite Specifications
The Vida V2 replaces the V1 in the company's product range. Launched last year as a more budget-friendly option compared to the now-discontinued V1, the V2 serves as an upgraded model and offers three battery pack choices. The entry-level V2 Lite features a 2.2 kWh battery, providing a range of 94 km (IDC) on a single charge. This base variant includes essential features such as a 7-inch TFT display, LED projector headlamp, regenerative braking, keyless entry, and two riding modes: Eco and Ride. The V2 Lite can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 4.2 seconds and has a maximum speed of 69 km/h.
The Vida V2 offers various battery options, beginning with a 2.2 kWh capacity in the Lite model and extending to a 3.94 kWh capacity in the Pro variant.
Vida V2 Plus Specifications
The Vida V2 Plus is equipped with a more substantial 3.4 kWh battery, providing a range of 143 km (IDC). It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.4 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 85 km/h. This model features three riding modes: Eco, City, and Sport, while retaining the functionalities found in the Lite version.
Vida V2 Pro Specifications
The Vida V2 Pro boasts an even larger 3.9 kWh battery, offering a range of 165 km (IDC). This electric scooter reaches a higher top speed of 90 km/h and can go from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. In addition to the three standard riding modes, the V2 Pro introduces a fourth ‘Custom’ mode. Notably, the Vida V2 series is distinguished by its removable battery pack, a feature that sets it apart from competitors. It is important to mention that the new Honda Activa e features a swappable battery rather than a removable one.

Vida has not yet established a significant presence in the sales market, as Bajaj Auto, TVS, and Ola Electric continue to dominate. Ather Energy ranks as the fourth-largest competitor in sales. The recent price reduction, coupled with an increased availability of the V2 model, is expected to boost the company's sales figures. Hero is offering the Vida V2 through select showrooms and the newly launched Premia dealerships, which are located in more than 200 cities.
