Ultraviolette's Latest Patent: An Electric Motorcycle Rooted in Concept X Design

2 months ago | 5 Views

Ultraviolette has submitted a new design patent for an electric motorcycle derived from Concept X, which was unveiled at EICMA 2024. The accompanying image presents a top view of the motorcycle. Currently, the timeline for the motorcycle's launch remains unspecified, although there is a possibility that the production model may be revealed by the end of 2024.

The image indicates that the motorcycle features a flat handlebar, replacing the clip-ons utilized in the F77 model. This new handlebar design is expected to provide the rider with a more upright and comfortable riding posture, in contrast to the more aggressive stance of the F77. Additionally, the motorcycle is equipped with knuckle guards and a distinctive beak-like mudguard. The grab rail for the passenger has also been redesigned. The design patent indicates that the motorcycle will adopt a naked style and will incorporate an aeronautics-inspired design language.

The new motorcycle gets a flat handlebar instead of a clip on unit to provide a better riding stance.

The foundational elements of the new motorcycle will be derived from the F77. Consequently, it will utilize the same frame, which will be supported by inverted forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Both ends will be equipped with disc brakes, complemented by a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. The battery pack will remain fixed in position, located where the engine would typically be found in a motorcycle powered by an internal combustion engine. While the exact wheel sizes have yet to be confirmed, it is anticipated that they will be 17-inch units, featuring a design aesthetic similar to that of the F77. The wheels will be fitted with tubeless tyres.

Additionally, the patent image reveals a digital display that will offer Bluetooth connectivity via a mobile application. This screen is designed to present all essential information to the rider. It is also anticipated that features such as traction control, regeneration levels, and various riding modes will be shared with the F77.
