Ultraviolette Automotive recently introduced the Tesseract in India, marking its entry into the electric scooter market. Priced initially at ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom), this price will increase to ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) after the introductory period. The Ultraviolette Tesseract is set to compete with several flagship models from various manufacturers, including Ola Electric, Ather Energy, Simple Energy, TVS Motor Company, and Hero MotoCorp's Vida, among others.

Positioned as a sporty electric scooter, the Ultraviolette Tesseract promises impressive performance; however, it will encounter significant competition from its rivals. Notably, many recent electric vehicle startups that have been focusing on electric two-wheelers are now also targeting the affordable commuter segment, which has been gaining popularity. This broadens the competitive landscape for the Ultraviolette Tesseract.

Ather Energy, which led the electric two-wheeler market in India in February 2025 with sales of 11,807 units, offers the Ather Rizta, a practical commuter electric scooter that contrasts with the sporty nature of the Ultraviolette Tesseract.

Below is a brief comparison between the newly launched Ultraviolette Tesseract and the Ather Rizta.
