Triumph Speed T4 Gets More Affordable: Now Priced at ₹1.99 Lakh!
1 month ago | 5 Views
Triumph Motorcycles India has officially adjusted the pricing of its most affordable motorcycle following the announcement of an ₹18,000 discount on the Speed T4 in December 2024. Initially launched at ₹2.17 lakh, the Triumph Speed T4 is now available for ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), solidifying the price reduction as a permanent change. While the Speed T4 is based on the Triumph Speed 400, it features reduced power and fewer specifications, yet maintains a nearly identical torque output.
Triumph Speed T4 Price Slashed
The Triumph Speed T4 is designed as a roadster tailored for the Indian market, offering a more relaxed riding experience. It shares the same chassis and engine as the Speed 400, but with a modified output to enhance torque delivery: 30.6 bhp and 36 Nm of peak torque. Approximately 85 per cent of the torque is accessible at 2,500 rpm, and the engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission.
The Triumph Speed T4 is equipped with a set of 17-inch cast aluminium wheels featuring a 10-spoke design and is available in three colour variants: Pearl Metallic White, Cocktail Wine Red, and Phantom Black. Modifications to the Triumph Speed T4 include the adoption of telescopic forks in place of USD forks, the use of MRF tyres instead of Vredestein tyres, and a black exhaust replacing the aluminium unit found on the Speed 400. Additionally, the motorcycle omits certain features such as electronic throttle, traction control, ride-by-wire technology, and an immobiliser. The braking system consists of 300 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes, complemented by dual-channel ABS for enhanced performance.
Price Comparison for the Triumph Speed T4
Upon its launch, the Triumph Speed T4 was priced at a ₹23,000 premium over the Triumph Speed 400, which is available for ₹2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The recent price reduction has resulted in a significant ₹41,000 disparity between the two models, which is expected to further elevate the Speed 400's status as a more premium option. Our review indicated that the Speed T4 would be more appealing if its price were reduced by at least ₹10,000. Additionally, with the new pricing, the Triumph Speed T4 is now more competitively positioned against rivals such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, Jawa 42 FJ 350, Honda CB350RS, and Hero Mavrick 440. For those considering the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, the Speed T4 presents a more attractive upgrade at a slight additional cost.
