Triumph India's latest 400 cc motorcycles have achieved notable success in the market. It appears that Triumph is set to introduce a new variant of the Scrambler 400 X to its collection. Recently, a test mule was observed lacking certain features present in the standard model. At this time, a specific launch date remains uncertain.

The company has recently unveiled the updated Speed 400 and a new Speed T4 motorcycle in the Indian market, which serves as a more economical alternative to the standard Speed 400. Previously, there were discussions regarding the possibility of Triumph offering a similar option for the Scrambler 400 X. It is now evident that a more affordable version of the Scrambler will indeed be released.

What Changes Can We Expect in the New Triumph Scrambler 400 X T4?

The latest variant retains the upside-down forks; however, they are no longer finished in gold. The previous split seat has been substituted with a more straightforward single-seat configuration. The rubber pads have been eliminated, and the handlebar is now devoid of the brace pad.

Additionally, there is a redesigned grab rail for the pillion, along with a new tail lamp. Triumph has also removed the knuckle guards. It appears that the alloy wheels have undergone changes and will now be fitted with more economical tyres. Furthermore, it is anticipated that several components will now feature a black finish, which is expected to reduce costs for the company. The headlamp grille has been omitted, and Triumph will introduce the motorcycle in new colour options.

Under the Hood: A Deep Dive into the Triumph Scrambler 400 X T4's Engine

The engine utilized will remain the 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder configuration. This engine generates 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm in the 400X; however, for the new variant, it may be recalibrated to deliver approximately 30 bhp and 36 Nm, similar to the output of the Speed T4. The transmission will consist of a 6-speed gearbox.

Price Triumph Scrambler 400 X T4: How Much Will It Cost?

The Speed T4 is priced approximately ₹23,000 lower than the Speed 400. It is anticipated that the T4 variant of the Scrambler 400 X will be priced about ₹20,000 less than the standard model, which is currently available for ₹2.65 lakh ex-showroom.
