The Triumph Scrambler 400XC is about to hit the market, adding to the brand's 400cc range and offering a tougher, adventure-ready version of the capable Triumph Scrambler 400X. With a focus on off-road performance, the Scrambler 400XC is anticipated to feature practical enhancements that cater to dedicated riders seeking adventure beyond just paved roads.

Triumph Scrambler 400XC: Anticipated features

The upcoming Scrambler 400XC is set to be a step up from the Scrambler 400X in terms of both functionality and design. Triumph is likely to equip this model with some adventure-ready enhancements. For starters, it will probably feature tubeless wire-spoke wheels, which are super convenient, especially for those tackling long journeys where fixing a flat tire can be a hassle.

In terms of aesthetics, we can expect a metal bash plate under the engine for added protection against rocks and debris, along with shorter, angular fenders at both the front and rear, and a standout front beak with a flyscreen.

While the overall frame and dimensions should be quite similar to the 400X, the Scrambler 400XC is anticipated to have longer suspension travel to boost its off-road capabilities. The wheel sizes are expected to remain the same, with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear. Additionally, Triumph is likely to enhance the braking system by incorporating sintered pads, which handle heat better than the organic pads currently in use.

Triumph Scrambler 400XC: Anticipated engine and specifications

The Scrambler 400XC will stick with its reliable 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. It will come with a six-speed gearbox that includes a slip-and-assist clutch. Expect to see rider-friendly features like switchable rear ABS and traction control as standard. Additionally, Triumph might offer a bi-directional quickshifter as an optional upgrade, giving riders enhanced control and comfort on various terrains.
