Toyota Urban Cruiser EV and Maruti e Vitara: Common Features.

The Urban Cruiser EV and e Vitara are built on the same electric vehicle platform. The e Vitara takes inspiration from Maruti Suzuki's eVX concept shown at the 2023 Auto Expo, while the Urban Cruiser EV is based on Toyota's Urban Concept SUV. They share a lot of structural elements, including the battery floor.

When it comes to design, both vehicles look quite alike but still have their own flair. The Urban Cruiser EV features Toyota's signature hammerhead front with sleek LED headlights and a closed grille, complemented by a robust bumper. On the other hand, the e Vitara sports a more muscular front end with a bold grille and bumper, although its LED headlights and DRLs differ from those on the Urban Cruiser EV.

From the side, you can see the similarities with a sloping roofline, a dual-tone color scheme, and matching alloy wheel designs. Both models will offer 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels nestled in spacious wheel arches, and they both have rear door handles positioned on the C-pillars. At the back, they look quite similar too, featuring a connected LED taillight setup and a sturdy bumper.

Inside, the two electric SUVs are nearly identical, sporting almost the same dashboard layout. The e Vitara currently showcases a black and gray interior, while the Urban Cruiser has a dual-tone upholstery. They both come with a two-tone steering wheel, a dual-screen setup with a 10.1-inch touchscreen for infotainment and a 10.25-inch digital display for the driver, as well as similar AC vents and center console designs.

In terms of features, both EVs will include a sunroof, wireless charging, seat ventilation, and more. For safety, you can expect both the Urban Cruiser EV and e Vitara to come equipped with ADAS, a 360-degree camera, multiple airbags, and additional safety tech.

Both electric SUVs will come with two battery size options. You can choose between the 49 kWh and 61 kWh batteries, available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. Maruti says the e Vitara can go about 500 kilometers on a single charge, but Toyota hasn't shared any info about the Urban Cruiser EV yet.
