1 Design
The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, while derived from the Suzuki e Vitara, showcases a unique design. The front features sleeker headlamps and a more refined grille, with a less pronounced bumper that includes functional air vents on the sides. Nevertheless, the side profile remains unchanged. The vehicle is available with either 18 or 19-inch wheels equipped with aerodynamic covers. The tail lights exhibit a connected, wraparound style, and the rear door handles are seamlessly integrated into the C-pillar. Additionally, black body cladding is present lower on the vehicle, contributing to a rugged aesthetic.

2 Dimensions
The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV has dimensions of 4,285 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height, making it slightly larger than its counterpart, the e Vitara. The electric SUV features a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

3 Interior
Inside, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV closely resembles the e Vitara. It is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, and a two-spoke steering wheel. Additional features include an electronic parking brake with auto hold functionality, wireless charging, a JBL audio system, automatic climate control, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, and a sunroof. Furthermore, the electric SUV will be equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, which includes a 360-degree camera. The ADAS features encompass adaptive cruise control, a pre-collision system, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance.

4 Specifications
The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will be powered by lithium-iron phosphate batteries, available in 49 kWh and 61 kWh variants. There will be three configurations: a front-wheel drive (FWD) 49 kWh variant generating 142 bhp and 189 Nm, a FWD 61 kWh variant producing 172 bhp and 189 Nm, and an all-wheel drive (AWD) 61 kWh variant delivering 181 bhp and 300 Nm, featuring a Trail Mode. The FWD models will also include a Snow Mode to enhance traction on snowy surfaces.

5 Launch in India
Although there has been no official announcement regarding a launch in India, the vehicle will be manufactured in Gujarat for global markets at Suzuki’s production facility. It is also set to be unveiled in Europe on January 10 at the Brussels Motor Show.
