
Toyota Unveils 2025 Urban Cruiser Hyryder with Fresh Features at ₹11.34 Lakh

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV has received updates for the 2025 model year, featuring significant enhancements in both specifications and features. As a result of these improvements, the starting price of the SUV has increased slightly to ₹11.34 lakh, ex-showroom, compared to the previous price of ₹11.14 lakh. Launched in 2022, the Hyryder is a compact SUV that competes with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, among others.
Toyota has introduced a range of updates to the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Higher variants now include features such as an 8-way adjustable power driver seat and ventilated front seats, enhancing comfort during extended journeys or in hot weather. Additional features include rear door sunshades, ambient lighting, type-C USB fast-charging ports (15W), and LED spot and reading lamps.
The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) has been made available in more variants for improved real-time monitoring, while certain versions now provide air quality readings within the cabin. Furthermore, Toyota has revamped the speedometer for enhanced visibility and introduced new dual-tone exterior color options in select trims.
In terms of safety, the 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is reported to have undergone structural improvements across all variants to bolster safety. Additionally, six airbags are now standard in every variant, and an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) has been incorporated into the automatic transmission of select variants.
2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder: Specifications
Specifications of the 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder indicate that it largely retains its previous configuration. The SUV is equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which is also available with a CNG powertrain and hybrid technology. The petrol and CNG variants offer a choice between a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces power ranging from 87 bhp to 102 bhp, with torque output varying between 121 Nm and 136.8 Nm.
In the hybrid model, the engine is paired with an e-Drive transmission system, delivering 91 bhp of power and a peak torque of 141 Nm. The only modification to the specifications of the Hyryder is the introduction of a 6-speed Automatic Transmission (6AT) in the all-wheel-drive variant, which replaces the earlier 5-speed manual transmission.
