The Toyota Fortuner Legender 4X4 with manual transmission has been introduced at an initial price of ₹46.36 lakh, ex-showroom. This new variant will be positioned between the Toyota Fortuner 4X4 AT and the Fortuner GR-S within the model lineup. Notably, this variant marks the introduction of 4X4 capability in the Legender series.

The dimensions of the Toyota Fortuner Legender SUV are 4,795 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,835 mm in height, with a wheelbase measuring 2,745 mm and a ground clearance of 209 mm. The vehicle is powered by a 2.8L diesel engine that delivers 201 bhp and 420 Nm of torque.

This engine is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission, featuring the company’s proprietary 4X4 technology. Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business, expressed optimism regarding the new variant, stating that the introduction of the manual transmission option will enhance the appeal of the Legender and reaffirm Toyota’s dedication to offering versatile solutions that meet the evolving demands of contemporary customers. He remarked, “We believe we are filling a significant gap in the market as we strive for excellence in the premium SUV segment, ensuring that each journey is more dynamic, engaging, and aligned with the expectations of Indian consumers.”

Toyota Fortuner Legender: Specs, design and features

The Toyota Fortuner Legender presents a distinct appearance compared to the standard Fortuner SUVs. It features a dual-tone color scheme, more pronounced headlamp daytime running lights (DRLs), redesigned bumpers, and several additional aesthetic enhancements. Furthermore, it is equipped with larger 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, contributing to a more striking and commanding presence.

The interior of the SUV is characterized by a dual-tone design, featuring leather seating, ambient lighting, a digital infotainment display, and wireless charging capabilities, among other amenities. The latest variant introduces enhanced suction-based seats equipped with a ventilation system for the front row. Furthermore, the Fortuner Legender is enhanced with a premium audio system comprising 11 JBL speakers, including a subwoofer and an amplifier. Regarding safety, the Fortuner Legender SUV is equipped with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), as well as Hill Hold and Hill Descent Control, among various other safety features.
