Tata Sierra’s Dashboard Design Breaks Cover – A Glimpse Into the Future
10 days ago | 5 Views
Tata Motors made a significant impression at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 with the unveiling of the ICE version of the Sierra. Although the interior design was largely concealed during the event, a glimpse of it was provided. Recently, the company has submitted a design patent for the dashboard of the Sierra.
It appears that the dashboard will feature a dual-screen configuration. The driver will benefit from a digital display that showcases graphics similar to those found in Tata's current electric vehicle lineup. The dashboard is designed with multiple layers utilizing various materials. A horizontally positioned touchscreen infotainment system will take center stage, equipped with connected car technology, as well as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. Additionally, there is a push-start button on the dashboard accompanied by a rotary dial positioned beneath it, although the function of the rotary dial remains unclear at this time.
The Tata Sierra is set to feature a dual-screen configuration, with the possibility that higher-end variants may include a third screen. Confirmation of this detail will only be available following the official launch of the Sierra. Notably, the version presented at the Expo included a passenger screen, which is absent from the patent images. It remains uncertain whether the Sierra will enter production with this feature in the top-tier variants, as no official confirmation has been provided at this time.
Tata Sierra design patent filed
Tata Motors has also submitted a design patent for the Sierra, highlighting some minor differences between the showcased model and the patent version. The distinctive kink design in the B-pillar has been omitted from the production model, although it was present in the version displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Furthermore, the design of the alloy wheels has been modified. It is anticipated that Tata Motors will offer two distinct alloy wheel designs upon the SUV's market release.
Tata Sierra specs
Regarding specifications, the Tata Sierra is expected to come with two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol variant is projected to produce 168 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine will also deliver 168 bhp but with a torque output of 350 Nm. This petrol engine will mark its first appearance in the Sierra, with plans for its inclusion in future models such as the Curvv, Safari, and Harrier. Both manual and automatic transmission options are anticipated to be available.
