Bharat NCAP has revealed that the Nexon EV's 45 kWh variants have also received a 5-star crash test rating, which was added to the lineup later. It achieved a five-star rating for both adult and child occupant protection. This electric SUV has been the top-selling electric car in India since its debut, earning 29.86 out of 32 points in the adult occupant protection category. It got 14.26 out of 16 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 15.60 out of 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test. For child occupant protection, it scored 44.95 out of 49 points.

Tata Nexon Electric Vehicle 45

The Nexon EV 45, as the name implies, features a 45 kWh battery. We got about 330 km on a full charge with it. Keep in mind, though, that how far you can go really depends on your driving style. Someone else might get more distance, especially if they hit some downhill stretches, but if you're driving uphill or really pushing the pedal, the range will drop. Tata Motors says it has an MIDC range of 489 km, while the C75 is estimated to go between 350 and 375 km.

Besides the battery pack, the Nexon EV 45 comes with some cool extras. It has a panoramic sunroof exclusive to the 45 kWh battery, which is a great touch, plus there's a frunk for stashing a few items under the hood.

The electric motor powers just the front wheels, delivering 142 bhp and a peak torque of 215 Nm. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in only 8.9 seconds.

The Tata Nexon EV now comes with a larger battery option in the Red #Dark Edition, which is priced at an extra ₹20,000 compared to the standard model. This special edition is only offered in the top-tier Empowered+ trim. In total, the Nexon EV with the 45 kWh battery is available in Creative, Fearless, Empowered, and Empowered+ trims.
