Tata Motors reported vehicle sales of 80,304 units in January 2025, which is a seven percent drop compared to the same month last year. In January 2024, they sold 86,125 units. According to a statement released on February 1, 2025, domestic sales also took a hit, falling to 78,159 units last month, down from 84,276 units during the same time last year.

Breaking it down, passenger vehicle sales dropped by 11 percent, totaling 48,316 units compared to 54,033 units in January 2024. The company also saw a significant 25 percent decrease in electric vehicle sales, with only 5,240 units sold this January, down from 6,979 units a year earlier.

The trend of declining sales is evident in Tata Motors' commercial vehicle segment as well, where they sold 31,988 units last month, slightly down from 32,092 units in January 2024.
